School Make Up Routine/Tutorial

Helloooo! Sorry for no post last week, I was just so busy trying to catch up with homework and things but I'm back now and today I am doing a school make up routine tutorial type thing with all drugstore make up products. It's taken me a while to perfect this but I am finally happy with it. It stays all day, even if you are sweating a lot or have oily skin. However, if you do have oily skin you might want to have a powder in your school bag to apply throughout the day. Also, today you get to see my face! :) haha anyway, here we goooooooooo

(If you don't like foundation or if you don't need it you can skip this step.) So the first thing I do is apply my foundation. This is the L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation in the colour 110 warm ivory. This foundation has good coverage and feels super soft and silky on the skin. It lasts for roughly 6 hours on my skin before it starts disappearing and gives a flawless, natural looking coverage. I apply this with clean fingers and blend it in a lot with a fluffy foundation brush.

Next I use my L'oreal True Match concealer in the colour 4 Beige. This concealer is really creamy, has good coverage and feels really nice on my skin. I just apply this under my eyes and on any blemishes or red patches I have and blend it in with my ring finger.

Then I take my powder brush and apply the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the colour 001 Transparent all over my face, focusing on the T-Zone. I find this really helps with oil and it lasts a really long time. Then, I brush my eyebrows through with an eyebrow brush and run a clear mascara through it. I couldn't find my clear mascara today so I don't have a picture. Sorry >.<

Next, I take Rimmel Glam Eyes HD quad in the colour 003 Royal Blue. Using a flat eye shadow brush, I put a little bit of the white highlight colour on and dab it on the inner corners of my eye. This makes the eyes appear more awake and gives a pretty shimmery effect.

Then I take my Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara in the colour Black Brown waterproof. I have fallen  in love with this mascara as it separates your lashes while giving them length and volume. Also, since this colour is black brown it looks a lot more natural and appropriate for school. It makes you look like you have perfect lashes!

Then the last thing I do is take my Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Me. I really love tinted lip balms for school and since it's September and getting into Autumn/Fall I have been wearing this darker shade. I will apply this onto my lips and dab a little bit on my cheeks and blend it out for a pretty blush effect. I find it looks really natural if your lip and cheek colour is the same and this colour is just perfect for Autumn.

So I hope you enjoyed this post. Please leave me a comment if you did, it would make my day :) Also, if you want to follow me on twitter or instagram my username on both those sites is @eleanxrmarie

Hope you're having a great day and I'll see youuuusss laterrrr xxx

August Favourites!

Helloooooo! So, if you check my blog regularly or read any of my posts you will know I am supposed to post on Fridays. And today is Monday. If you have been waiting for this (which I doubt you have) I'm sorry. *pouty face* Anyway, here are my August Favourites! Also I'm really excited for September because I have a lot of posts for you guyssss! Anyway here we go!

My first favourite is the batiste dry shampoo in blush. I really like this one as not only does it smell nice, but it it makes me hair appear clean and soft. Also I think the smaller size is perfect for popping in your school bag or your handbag.

(Sorry for weird angle xD) This cleanser has been a life saver for me. Recently my skin has been really oily and this has helped heaps. I use it every morning and every night and since I've been using this I've noticed a huge difference. I would definitely recommend this to anyone suffering with oily skin.

Sticking with the No7 products, I have really been enjoying using this hand cream. I find my hands can get very dry but since I've been using this they have been a lot more moisturised. It's not too sticky and dries quite quickly. I really love this and will definitely be using it all up :)

My next favourite is a lip product. This is a Revlon lip butter in the colour 045 Cotton Candy. I really like this colour as it's a shimmery baby pink colour and I think it's perfect. Also, I find it really moisturising and have been using it every day.

This shower gel smells UH-MAY-ZING! It smells so good and once I've used it I find the smell stays with me for a long time. Also, it foams up really easily and is really soft on the skin. I just love using this as it cleans and makes me smell amazebeans.

The next product (which I forgot to take a picture of so here is one from the internet) is the Soap and Glory Body Butter. This body butter smells really good and moistures amazingly. From the very first time I used this I noticed a huge difference. It feels really soft on the skin and left my skin feeling soft for, honestly, two to three days. This is a miracle product!

Another Soap & Glory product I have been loving recently is the pulp friction body scrub. This, again, smells really good and leaves my skin feeling really soft. I'm not usually a big fan of body scrubs but I have completely fallen in love with this one.

This perfume has become one of my favourites. It's the Kyline Minogue 'Darling'. I'm really bad at describing smells but it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. I have had a few comments on how good I smell since I've started using this and it makes me feel really confident.

My last favourite is this Tresseme Salon Silk conditioner. This conditioner makes my hair feel super soft and silky. I admit I do use a lot of it, but it makes my hair really shiny and I love it. I don't use the shampoo as I find it makes my hair really thick but I will definitely be repurchasing the conditioner as it's amazing.

So that is the end of my favourites post. Join me next week for another fun blog post. If you want to see what I'm doing daily, follow my instagram and twitter: eleanxrmarie

Review: The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne

Now you could say I'm a bit of a geek because I read a lot. I really enjoy reading and I enjoy talking about the things I read, so what better way then to talk about it on my blog?! So today I am writing a book review on The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne.

"Apparently I'm boring. A nobody. But that's all about to change. Because I am starting a project. Here. Now. For myself. And if you want to come along for the ride then you are very welcome."

Now I'll be honest with you. The first thing that drew me to this book was it's bright red pages. When I picked it up and read the blurb I instantly knew I was going to enjoy this book.

"Bree is by no means popular. Most of the time she hates her life, her school, her never-there parents. So she writes. But when Bree is told she needs to stop shutting out the world and start living a life worth writing about, The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting is born. A manifesto that will change everything...but at what cost?"

This book is absolutely amazing, definitely one of my favourites. I am in love with the way Holly (the author) writes and I will definitely be looking for any other books she has written. I also really liked the story itself and while being fun and exciting, it also has some serious messages and I feel like I learned a lot from this book. I posted one of the pages I liked the most on my instagram @eleanxrmarie if you want to get a glimpse into the book (shameless self promotion haha). I just really love this book.

However it does say on the back of it that it includes some content not suitable for younger readers and it does include a fair bit of swearing and slang words so if you don't like that I wouldn't recommend it to you. But if you don't mind strong language than I would definitely recommend this as it's a fun book that keeps you hooked from the first sentence!

***** out of *****

Also just a random note I am nearly at 100 page views which is quite exciting for me :) thank you for that. If you want you can follow me on my other social media.

Monday, 18 August 2014

Hello everyone! So as it says in my introduction thingy on my profile, I really don't know how to use this website. But anyway, I'm going to try and make it work as writing about life, make up, beauty and fashion is something I would absolutely love to do more of in the future!

On my blog, you will soon be able to see make up ideas, fashion inspiration, monthly favourites and more. Also there may be the occasional ramble about life or whatever is on my mind. I'm going to try and use this website to it's full advantage and I hope you enjoy reading :)

My first proper blog post will possibly be up by the end of the week and it will be a fall/autumn fashion look book type thing. Hopefully *crosses fingers* It will probably be quite short though as I am very lazy aha :P

Anyway that's it for this little introduction post and I hope there will be many more happy blog posts to enjoy in the future :) byeeeeeee! x
