Mini Haul

Recently, I have picked up 3 makeup bits and I wanted to share them with you as even though my blog is mainly a lifestyle blog, I do like to share some beauty and fashion with you.

So firstly I picked up the Rimmel BB Cream as I had run out of my foundation and wanted something a little bit lighter for the upcoming spring and summer months. Mine is in the colour medium and I was actually very surprised by how good this was. It is a perfect match for my skin tone and goes smoothly onto my skin. It didn't leave me looking oily and it lasted for a good few hours without the need for powder.

I was browsing the L'Oreal stan looking for the Cheryl's nude lipstick (which they didn't have, sad face) when I came across this one. This is Julianne's nude and it is a gorgeous nude lipstick. I am in love with the colour and the packaging, in my opinion is looks really luxurious.

Then lastly is the Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner in black. I have been wanting a liquid eyeliner for a long time and I wanted just a cheap one which would be easy to apply and my friend recommended this to me so I picked it up. I haven't tried it yet but I have high hopes for this little product.

So that was everyting I bought. Have you ever tried any of these products? If so, let me know in the comments!

See you later

Relax

Ever since I was very little, in fact possibly since birth, I have always found it hard to get to sleep. Once I was asleep, I had no difficulty staying asleep for about 16 hours (or until someone woke me up for food) but it was always getting to sleep that was the problem.

I found this was because I never managed to fully relax my body and my brain. It was always on the go, thinking about whether I had packed my school bag for the next day to whether I was going to be married by the time I was 30 or not. Your average thoughts on a Tuesday night, really.

However, recently I have managed to get myself into a routine of finishing my homework earlier, showering earlier and getting into bed earlier so that I've had time to relax before I go to sleep.

My routine usually consists of me having a long relaxing shower, getting into warm cosy pyjamas and sitting in bed with a warm cup of hot chocolate or tea while watching American Horror Story.

This has honestly helped me so much as this past week I have noticed how much happier and more awake I am because I've been relaxing more, therefore getting more sleep.

My advice to you would be to relax! Take time out of your schedule (no matter how busy it is!) to relax and have a little bit of time to yourself. Whether you chose to do this by having a pamper routine or watching your favourite movie, make sure you do it regularly. It will make you feel so much better!

New Beginnings

Hello everybody! Long time no see, huh?

As you are probably aware (if you are an enthusiastic blog reader of mine), you will know I haven't written anything for over a month. This is because January was a very almost hectic and stressful month for me. It seemed as though I was always tired and never had enough time for the compulsory things like sleeping, let alone the added pleasures in life such as blogging.

However, in this time that I have taken away from my blog, I have decided I don't really want to be a 'beauty' blogger anymore. Yes, as much as reading about the latest skin care miracle or fashion item appeals to me greatly, I don't feel as though I want to spend my time writing about it. So this is more of a lifestyle/thoughts blog I guess.

Ever since I was little I have also wanted to do something creative, and as I've grown up I've always thought writing could have been the way forward. I have tried writing stories, believe me I have tried, yet none of the characters ever really sprang to life and none of the story lines interested me. So maybe blogging about my life and thoughts would help?

Either way from this month onwards I will mainly be writing things in a sort of journalist style I guess? Documenting my thoughts, feelings, dreams and future plans? I don't know. I guess only time will tell!

Today is a new beginning for my blog and I'm sure this new style will not only make me happier, but hopefully it will make your guys' day a bit better as well.

See you later!

Christmas

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas, I know I did! I decided that since I haven't written for a while I would post a few pictures of some of the things I got for Christmas. Make sure you follow my bloglovin and go and follow my instagram (@pastelwonderlandxo). I hope you enjoy, byeee. xox.

I'm going to be writing all my blogpost ideas in this book.
I dyed my hair black! You can't really tell because of the lighting but I really like it. It's permanent so you will be seeing more pictures of it in the future :)

Review: The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne

Now you could say I'm a bit of a geek because I read a lot. I really enjoy reading and I enjoy talking about the things I read, so what better way then to talk about it on my blog?! So today I am writing a book review on The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne.

"Apparently I'm boring. A nobody. But that's all about to change. Because I am starting a project. Here. Now. For myself. And if you want to come along for the ride then you are very welcome."

Now I'll be honest with you. The first thing that drew me to this book was it's bright red pages. When I picked it up and read the blurb I instantly knew I was going to enjoy this book.

"Bree is by no means popular. Most of the time she hates her life, her school, her never-there parents. So she writes. But when Bree is told she needs to stop shutting out the world and start living a life worth writing about, The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting is born. A manifesto that will change everything...but at what cost?"

This book is absolutely amazing, definitely one of my favourites. I am in love with the way Holly (the author) writes and I will definitely be looking for any other books she has written. I also really liked the story itself and while being fun and exciting, it also has some serious messages and I feel like I learned a lot from this book. I posted one of the pages I liked the most on my instagram @eleanxrmarie if you want to get a glimpse into the book (shameless self promotion haha). I just really love this book.

However it does say on the back of it that it includes some content not suitable for younger readers and it does include a fair bit of swearing and slang words so if you don't like that I wouldn't recommend it to you. But if you don't mind strong language than I would definitely recommend this as it's a fun book that keeps you hooked from the first sentence!

***** out of *****

Also just a random note I am nearly at 100 page views which is quite exciting for me :) thank you for that. If you want you can follow me on my other social media.
